Former President Donald Trump has reacted to the recent Iranian attack on Israel, expressing his strong disapproval and suggesting that such an event would not have occurred if he was President.
Trump made his remarks on Truth Social, his social media platform.
“Israel is under attack! This should never have been allowed to happen – This would NEVER have happened if I were President!” Trump posted on Truth Social.
The response from Trump follows reports from this afternoon stating that Iran had conducted a drone strike on Israel.
The attack is significant as it marks the first time Iran has directly targeted Israel from its own soil.
President Biden, who was on a beach vacation this morning before quickly returning to the White House to meet with his national security team, has continued to express that US support for Israel’s security is “ironclad.”
Biden has all but told Israel to not respond if attacked. I hope that they listen to him as much as we do, and carry on and defend themselves preemptively with full forces against Iran and their proxy states put an end to the terrorists threats and assure the sovereignty of their nation!
