Tucker’s Final On-Air Words Hint He Had No Idea What Was Coming

As Tucker Carlson signed off Friday night, he gave no hint that this would be the last edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to air on Fox News.

Carlson was chowing down on pizza supplied by delivery man Tyler Morell, who had recently helped police in Pennsylvania catch a fleeing suspect.

After taking a few bites, the Fox News host gave his routine goodbye to his audience of millions.

“That’s it for us for the week. We’ll be back,” he said.

“We’ll be back on Monday,” Carlson said moments later. “In the meantime, have the best weekend with the ones that you love, and we’ll see you then.”

On Monday, however, Fox News announced Carlson would not be returning.

“Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” the network said in a statement emailed to The Western Journal.

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named,” the statement said.

On Friday, after speaking at a Heritage Foundation event, Carlson noted he formerly worked as a copy editor for the conservative organization’s quarterly review, according to The Hill.

“If things go south for Fox News, there’s always a job for you here,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said.

“You’ve saved me before,” Carlson said.

Twitter buzzed at the news of his departure from the network.

In writing about Carlson’s departure, The Hill noted it came after Fox News settled a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million. Dominion had claimed it was defamed by the network’s allegations of rigged voting machines in the 2020 election.

Tucker Carlson is the best in the industry. He is honest, intelligent, and kind. He always does his homework and is well versed on the subject matter before him. He was ethical and always gave people a chance for rebuttal if they wanted it; he was fair. His show wasn’t number one for no reason. Tucker isn’t afraid to expose the truth; something many others are.
Many viewers had already left FOX after their Election Day BS, but others stayed primarily because of Tucker; I was proudly in that category. There are some other personalities with FOX that are good reporters, but many of them were better and excelled because of Tucker’s lead. He was unafraid and helped some of the others cross that line by example.
FOX will pay a well deserved steep price for loosing Tucker, but the public are the real losers here. No one else brought the Truth to the American public like Tucker did. Wherever he goes people will follow. One can only imagine how much better his show would have been with having to look over his back at FOX management. I’m sure FOX made it difficult for him to inform the public of the real truth behind things that no one else had the guts to do.
If it was about the BS Dominion ruling, why didn’t FOX appeal the settlement. Whatever loss FOX incurred is chump change compared to what the are going to loose now. The Stock Market already reflects this and that is going to get a lot worse. FOX will no longer enjoy top ratings in any demographic arena; they will be no better than the rest of the MSM fake news media. I believe the goal was always to eliminate Tucker as he was a threat to the progressive lefties and a larger concern to them than the entire Republican Party.
I’m done with FOX altogether; dropped all affiliation, apps, and subscriptions. I’m looking forward to Tucker’s next venture; he is one of the few honest, unbiased and unafraid journalists that we have in this messed up Country we’re living in today!
