Dog The Bounty Hunter Co-Star Dead After Suffering ‘Stroke’ on a Work Zoom Call

Dog The Bounty Hunter’s co-star David Robinson died in his wife’s arms ‘suddenly’ at 50 after having a ‘stroke or heart attack’ while on a work Zoom call.

His wife Brooke Robinson confirmed that David had passed away at their California home on Wednesday, November 30 via a statement on Facebook.

It read: ‘David was very healthy and was on a work call in our dining room at home when he collapsed. Life-saving maneuvers were attempted and paramedics were called. David died in my arms.’

As early reports had alleged that David – who received a touching tribute from Dog – had ‘appeared to have a heart attack or stroke,’ Brooke blasted those claims writing: ‘The rumors of a heart attack and stroke have already been ruled out.’

Brooke – who married David back in May – continued: ‘We ask again for time and space to grieve for the husband, father, brother and friend that was lost.’

Robinson starred alongside Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman in Dog’s Most Wanted, which ran for a single season on WGN in 2019.

Robinson’s ex-wife Rainy, who also appeared on the show, confirmed his death to TMZ earlier on Thursday, saying David was on a Zoom call when he had a medical emergency. Police and paramedics’ attempts CPR after arriving at the scene were unsuccessful.

Chapman paid tribute to his one-time co-star, saying: ‘I’m shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of David Robinson, my right-hand man of many years. Until we meet again, brother.’

Sources close to Chapman said he appeared to have had a ‘heart attack or stroke’ – but an official cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

His ex-wife Rainy originally broke the news of David’s death with an Instagram post on Wednesday.

It featured an image of David with a simple caption which read:’11/2/72 – 11/30/22 #Fast156.’

The hashtag seems to be a reference to David’s Twitter handle @Fast1556 though he has not tweeted in nearly three years in addition to his Instagram which is @david_robinson_156.

Back in September 2020, David’s then wife Rainy had announced that they were separating after nearly 25 years of marriage, two daughters, and three grand-daughters for what she called ‘some very heartbreaking and irrevocable actions.’

The Dog The Bounty Hunter series regular took to social media and explained to her followers what had happened in her union.

‘After nearly 25 years of marriage (9/30/95) and 27 year together, David and I are separating,’ she said. ‘We have had many years of happy times, fun parties, television, businesses, tears and triumphs. We share two beautiful daughters and three adorable grand-daughters.

‘Marriage is difficult and in some cases does not always last; we had a great run and I am proud of the time we’ve spent building a life. We are family and will always love each other as such.’

Rainy, who’s in the bounty hunting business, said that ‘sadly, some very heartbreaking and irrevocable actions were taken which resulted in the end of our marriage’ without delving deeper into detail about the split.
