President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden were late on Monday to Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in London.
They were forced to wait to be seated behind the procession of British military heroes.

He may be the world’s most powerful man but the apparent late arrival of the US president, Joe Biden, and his wife, Jill, was not allowed to disrupt the finely tuned choreography of the late Queen’s funeral.
Rather than being ushered immediately to their seats on their arrival at Westminster Abbey, the first couple, aged 79 and 71, had to be gently told they would need to stand and wait as a procession of George and Victoria Cross-holders went ahead of them down the nave of the abbey.
After an awkward period of small talk at the main entrance, as those awarded the highest decorations of military valour went ahead, the Bidens finally followed in the wake of Victoria Cross-holder CSgt Johnson Beharry, pushing the wheelchair of Keith Payne VC, 89.
The US president had been given a dispensation to make his journey to the abbey in “the Beast”, a heavily armoured limousine used by US presidents for security reasons, rather than be bussed to the abbey with the other heads of state and government.

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden were seated 14 rows back for the service in what the British press described as the result of a complex seating plan devised under long-established protocols. Those with a better view included the president of Poland, the emperor and empress of Japan, other European royals and the King of Jordan.
“Biden isn’t very ego-driven but he’s going to be near the front,” Lord Renwick, who served as British ambassador to the United States in the early 1990s, told the Times. “[French President] Macron would have hysterics if he wasn’t given a place of honor. [German Chancellor] Olaf Scholz wouldn’t care. You’ve got to say to yourself: ‘Who is going to have a hissy fit?’”
He speaks to us always 15 or 20 minutes after he was supposed to start. Late is as Joe does. Who is he ever to be in a hurry for?
There is NO EXCUSE for such disrespect and the Biden’s are a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT to our country!
Is there ANYTHING this idiot can’t screw up? Joe’s a laughingstock and Jill is a lousy First Lady.
