TV Reporter at the UN Climate Change Conference Collapses During Live Broadcast

Reporters and hosts on television have collapsed suddenly during the past few years, often in the middle of live broadcasts.

Channel NewsAsia (CNA) reporter Julie Yoo passed out during a live broadcast while covering the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

The incident took place on November 9th, while Yoo was on CNA’s Asia Tonight show, covering the climate talks for the 27th UN’s Climate Change Conference, CNA reported.

Her cohost, Jack Board, was standing right next to her and appeared shocked. He then can be heard asking, “you okay?”

According to the national media network, Mediacorp, Julie was a bit dehydrated and had a low sugar level, “but she is fine now,” other than being embarrassed over the incident.

“She was feeling a little unwell due to dehydration and low blood sugar,” said the national media network in a statement on Wednesday night.

According to Mediacorp, Yoo has been seen by a doctor with a colleague and is doing okay.

“She will be resting tonight and will be back on air tomorrow,” the company added. “We would like to thank everyone for their concern.”
