TV News Anchor Resigns After He Was Caught Sexting 15-Year-Old Girl

A Louisiana TV news anchor has resigned after allegedly sexting who he believed was an underage girl.

KTBS anchor and director of news Bill Lunn stepped down after being accused of sending a 15-year-old explicit photos and texts.

He allegedly arranged to meet up, but was stunned to find three men at the other end who say they had orchestrated the whole set-up as a ‘predator hunter’ scheme.

An investigation was sparked on May 29 after Lunn called police claiming to have been the victim of an assault in Shreveport.

However, officers told KTBS they quickly determined this was not true after speaking with the men.

Antonio Coleman, Kameron Kennon and Kataurio Grigsby said they had been posing as a teenage girl on dating app Meet Me for weeks in a bid to capture suspected pedophiles.

They told news site Myarklamiss they were shocked to learn that the person they were conversing with was allegedly married father Lunn.

‘They had a conversation going on and he asked how old she was,’ Coleman said. ‘The girl told him she was 15-years-old.

‘He would send pictures to her, he was saying he wanted to do things to her, explicit things.’

He claims the number being used was the same as that listed on Lunn’s LinkedIn profile.

‘It’s crazy how fast they are willing to meet young women,’ Kennon added.

The trio say they confronted Lunn who reportedly said he had a wife and kids before fleeing the scene and calling police.

Officers arrived on the scene and detained him before releasing him without charge.

However, his electronics have been seized as part of an investigation. An internal probe has been launched at his place of work where he resigned effective from Monday.

Lunn’s attorney Dhu Thompson said his client strenuously denies wrongdoing.

‘It is our preliminary understanding that this incident was not the result of a law enforcement investigation, but rather one done by private individuals.

‘Our primary concern at this time is that law enforcement receives all evidence surrounding this incident so that they can make a thorough and complete review. Mr. Lunn has cooperated with authorities and vehemently denies any allegations of wrongdoing.

‘It is our hope that after a thorough review of all the evidence surrounding this matter that Mr. Lunn will be shown to be innocent and cleared of all allegations.’

It is not Lunn’s first brush with the law however. In 2019, he was charged with impaired driving.

While he was below the legal alcohol level he was still determined to be impaired and charged via citation.

Lunn joined KTBS in 2019 and was previously an anchor with KTSP during which time he had one particularly memorable slip of the tongue while on air.

The broadcaster was setting up a story about Boy Scouts during a newscast in 2013 when he mistakenly said, ‘I pledge allegiance to the fag’.

Lunn quickly apologized and took to Twitter to apologize for the mistake and to assure his fans that he has no ill-will towards the homosexual community – but only after first laughing it off, to the ire of some of his Twitter followers.

His Instagram bio states he is a, ‘Journalist, author, dad, fisherman, guitar picker’ who has been ‘Saved by Grace’.

If Lunn is “innocent”, why did he go to meet the “young girl”? Too late to claim he was trying for his own “sting”.

People like this man should be euthanized. There is no help for these perverts, except maybe castration. Since sex is all they think about, they wouldn’t like living without it… so, we are back to my first sentence.

If he’s innocent, why did he resign from his job? Pedophiles should be executed if found guilty beyond a resonable doubt. They choose to destroy the lives of young innocent and naive children for their own greedy personal pleasure. They are beyond redemption.
