Trump Reveals Names of 2 People Who Will Not Serve in His Administration

President-elect Donald Trump made clear that former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will not be part of his administration after securing a return to the White House earlier this week.

Trump announced the decision in a Truth Social post on Saturday night.

“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he said.

Haley, who served as ambassador to the United Nations under Trump for one year, ran against him in the Republican presidential primaries this election cycle, eventually dropping out just after Super Tuesday in March of this year.

She notably withheld her endorsement of him until the Republican National Convention over the summer.

Pompeo, who served as director of the CIA and also secretary of state during Trump’s first term, was floated as a pick to be his secretary of defense in the second administration.

Since winning the election on Tuesday over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has begun announcing who will hold various Cabinet positions, including picking campaign manager Susie Wiles as his chief of staff.
