Trump Announces His Pick for Border Czar

Former President Donald Trump has formally announced his pick for “Border Czar,” the official who will be tasked with overseeing mass deportations, the construction of the border wall and other immigration-related matters at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Vice President Kamala Harris was named “Border Czar” by President Biden — a title she has attempted to deny — where she oversaw record levels of illegal immigration in the fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

“I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders (“The Border Czar”), including, but not limited to, the Southern Border, the Northern Border, all Maritime, and Aviation Security. I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders,” Trump wrote in Truth Social post.

“Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin. Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long awaited for, job.”

Homan — a staunch supporter of President-elect Trump’s campaign promise to deport millions of illegal aliens from the United States — recently outlined how the plan would work in an interview with 60 Minutes.

When asked by CBS reporter Cecilia Vega whether illegal aliens could be deported without separating families, Homan stated that it is indeed possible. “Families can be deported together,” he said.

Homan also rejected the notion that deporting illegal aliens would be harmful to immigrants, though he did note that “it should be threatening to the illegal immigrant community.”

He also stated that the mass deportation of illegal aliens is necessary due to the record-setting, civilization-altering number of illegal immigrants admitted to the country under the Biden-Harris Administration.

Since President Biden took office, nearly 10-million illegal aliens have entered the United States, surging past records in the fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

On day one, Trump plans to reinstate a number of immigration executive orders that were rescinded by President Biden on his first day in January 2021. Among the orders planned by Trump is the reintroduction of the popular Remain in Mexico policy, which required asylum seekers to wait outside the country while their asylum claims are processed.

The Biden Administration has instead opted for a catch and release policy, under which illegal aliens are released and oftentimes transported to locations of their choosing within the U.S. interior.

As for deportations, people familiar with the Trump transition team’s efforts told the Wall Street Journal that illegal aliens who have already received deportation orders or been convicted of a crime will be processed first. The president-elect will reverse a Biden era directive to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) that instructed agents not to target illegal aliens for deportation, among several additional directives.

And how much is it costing us to ‘support’ these illegal immigrants? Hospitalization, hotels, food, etc. I would argue that it will cost us less to deport them than to continue to ‘support’ them. Oh. My. God. How deaf can you be?
