Podcast legend Joe Rogan recently shed light on what happened behind the scenes as his camp tried to make an interview with then-Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris happen shortly before Election Day, only to have her back out due to an alleged “scheduling” conflict.
Among the demands the Harris campaign made was for Rogan to travel to where she was at the time and to limit the interview to an hour. They also wanted him not to ask her about marijuana legalization and throwing people in jail for pot-related offenses, the latter of which she did when she was San Francisco’s District Attorney in the early 2000s.
While Rogan made clear he would have been up for just about anything in order to get her on his show, one thing he wouldn’t agree to do in addition to not traveling to conduct the show on her turf was edits, which he said was another thing her campaign asked about.
As luck would have it, Rogan’s recent revelations about the back and forth between the two camps regarding the terms wasn’t the only juicy tidbit shared this week about Harris’ disastrous decision to decline an interview with America’s most popular podcaster.
According to Clintonista Jennifer Palmieri, who is a senior advisor to Harris’ husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, the truth of the matter was that Harris didn’t want to appear on Rogan’s show because she was worried that it would offend the woke left:
The talks faltered because of concerns at how the interview would be perceived within the Democratic party, said Jennifer Palmieri, a senior adviser to Harris’s husband, Douglas Emhoff, during the campaign.
“There was a backlash with some of our progressive staff that didn’t want her to be on it, and how there would be a backlash,” Palmieri said on Wednesday.
Perhaps with the thought in mind that letting that information slip out makes Harris look even more foolish in retrospect, Palmieri is already trying to backtrack on the Twitter/X machine, posting this earlier:
“Hard to get to Texas twice in a 107-day campaign”? What utter horsecrap. Harris reportedly had light schedules at times during her campaign and if I’m not mistaken, she was in Texas for a campaign event as negotiations were taking place to get her on the show.
I mean, Rogan basically told her to name the date and time and that they could talk about whatever she wanted to provided they interviewed at his studio and were okay with it not being edited.
Though I have no doubts that fear of how progressives would react to it factored into the decision to not do the segment, my thought process on this is that it was the lack of editorial control for the Harris camp that ultimately doomed any possibility of an interview.
Think about it – there were other interviews she did with mainstream media outlets where they were edited to try and make her look good. Whether there was any coordination between those outlets and the Harris team is unknown, but even if it wasn’t coordinated, the fact of the matter is that Harris’ handlers knew most of the media were in her back pocket and that they could dictate the terms of her sitdowns with them.
They wanted to be able to do the same thing with Rogan, which was a big mistake and one that in the end played a big part in ushering forth her embarrassing Election Day defeat last Tuesday.
The more we learn in the aftermath of the election, the more it is confirmed that there was nothing the campaign wanted to do that wasn’t choreographed down to the last second. And the likely reason for that is because they were scared as hell over how the real Kamala Harris, the one who is wildly inauthentic and cringe, would appear to the country.
Kamala was woldly inauthentic. That was the best way to describe her. Unfortunately, many Democrats forgot who was Kamala for the pas three years before becomming the. Presidential nominee. They got fool by Kamaly no stop laughing. False laughing wasn’t enough to elect the President
And, when all is said and done, K-toe was just aligned with the radicals in the party who knew she was as dumb as a box of rocks…
