Shots Fired During High School Graduation Ceremony in Kansas City, Missouri

Law enforcement has responded to reports of a shooting incident during DeLaSalle High School’s graduation ceremony taking place in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Kansas City Police Department said that emergency responders were sent to the De La Salle Education Center at around 4pm on Saturday, according to Channel 3 Now.


The shooting did not have to do with the graduation, per authorities who spoke to KSHB.

It was reported that an altercation between two groups erupted near the graduation ceremony for the high schoolers.

During the incident, at least one person is known to have fired a gun.

Sources told the outlet that two people were shot, but they are not confirmed. Conflicting reports from KCTV stated that police reported no injuries during the incident.

People can be seen hiding under tables as well as running from the scene as the incident occurred in the footage.
