Several Dead in Louisville Bank Massacre — Update: Shooter Identified

The gunman in the Louisville bank shooting is reported to be 25-year old Connor Sturgeon, an employee at the bank since 2018, according to Fox News.

According to his LinkedIn profile Sturgeon worked as an intern at Old National Bank from May of 2018 to August of 2020, joining as a full-time employee in June of 2021.

Police confirm that at least four were killed, including one police officer at the bank in downtown Louisville, and the shooter was killed on the scene. It’s unclear if that shooter was killed by officers or took his own life.

They also said that eight people had been injured, two of the them are in crucial condition, including another police officer.

Sturgeon reportedly texted a friend prior to the shooting saying that “he was feeling suicidal and would shoot up the bank.” He apparently streamed the event on Instagram Live.

The shooters LinkedIn profile stated that he is “a Syndications Associate and Portfolio Banker with Old National Bank in Louisville following completion of the ONB Commercial Banking Development Training Program in April 2022.” He held a Masters in Finance from the University of Alabama.

The shooting took place at the Old National Bank on East Main street, near the Louisille Slugger Field and Waterfront Park.

Kentucky Govenor Andy Beshear responded to the shooting saying “I have a very close friend that didn’t make it today,” adding “My AG campaign was out of that building … that’s my bank.”

Didn’t take long them long to release the photo and name of that white man lol. Holy fuck, it just happened. If that was an Afro American transgender, you wouldn’t know for a week. All good, glad he’s dead! I Wish he would have just blown his brains out before he went to work.

I really wish they wouldn’t “promote” killers like this. It’s one of the reasons why you have so many copycat nut-jobs. Or people wanting to actually live stream horrible things like this.

Apparently, this guy told everyone and their mother he planned on doing this. Then even livestreamed it on Instagram!?!
Every single one of his friends/ family should be held accountable as well as thay ALL have blood on their hands. Why did not one, single person report anything? …or is this another case of “FBI was aware” and as usual did nothing but wait and watch?
Pronouns in his bio tell you all you need to know…

This is sad in many ways…the shooter was reaching out because he knew he needed help. Suicide, murder are rampant in our society today..why?? Because family values and innocent childhood up bringing are none existent anymore..people are too busy to pay attention to their kids. Cell phones and computers raise them. I’m definitely not condoning what this young man did. It’s horrific. But we are seeing this more and more. Guns have become mere toys to the younger generations. They kill people all the time in video games. They are numbed to the reality of death…the reality of what the consequences truly are!!

Hey Gen-Zers….here’s a thought. Next time you “feel suicidal” go into your bathroom, stand in the shower stall with the door shut, and blow your own brains out. Having the courtesy of closing the shower door will make less clean-up for whoever cared for/about you, and the only one who gets killed is the one with a serious mental illness to begin with. Win for you, Win for society, Win for the families of all the innocent people that you would have otherwise massacred while taking your worthless self off of the planet. Show some consideration for others, possibly for the first time ever in your entire selfish life.
