House Passes Bill Banning ‘Assault-Style’ Weapons — These 2 Republicans Voted ‘Yes’

The House of Representatives on Friday voted 217 to 213 to ban so-called ‘assault-style’ weapons.

Two Republican Reps. voted with the Democrats: Brian Fitzpatrick (PA) and Chris Jacobs (NY).

“Barely a month after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen, gun control advocates in Congress are spearheading an assault upon the freedoms and civil liberties of law-abiding Americans.” the NRA said.

The bill will likely fail in the Senate because Democrats need 10 Republican senators to overcome the filibuster.

“If enacted, the bill would make it a crime to knowingly import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess a semiautomatic assault weapon or a large capacity ammunition feeding device. But some of these weapons would be allowed to be grandfathered in.” ABC News reported.

ABC News reported:

The House of Representatives on Friday passed a bill to ban assault-style weapons.

The last-minute vote was announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., on Friday morning just hours before the chamber was set to break for a month-long recess.

The legislation passed 217 to 213. Two Republican lawmakers — Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania and Chris Jacobs of New York — voted in support of the bill.

Pelosi said the ban is “a crucial step in our ongoing fight against the deadly epidemic of gun violence.”

“Our nation has watched in unspeakable horror as assault weapons have been used in massacre after massacre in communities across the country,” she said on the floor during debate on the bill. “And disturbingly, so many of these mass shootings have targeted our precious children, in our schools, at the movies, at the malls and throughout our communities.”

Last month Congress passed a sweeping gun control bill that includes ‘red flag’ laws.

This geriatric alcoholic totally lost the plot when she made this comment, Pelosi said the ban is “a crucial step in our ongoing fight against the deadly epidemic of gun violence.”

Congress needs to go back to 8th grade civics class and study the constitution. This is blatantly unconstitutional. Members of the House and Senate should be removed from office when they continually try to circumvent the Constitution as they are violating their oath of office and become enemies of We The People.

In most instances to be elected to political office in NY, a Republican has to be a RINO.

You know what to do with those who violate our Constitutional rights.
