A Republican state senator from Georgia has taken the first step necessary in the state legislature to impeach Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney who indicted former President Donald Trump this week on charges related to efforts to overturn the results of the state’s 2020 election.
Senator Colton Moore, who represents the most northwestern district in Georgia, motioned on Thursday for an emergency session of the Georgia Legislature to consider and “review the actions of Fani Willis.”
Writing on Twitter, Sen. Moore framed his action in dire terms. “I’m not going to sit back and watch as radical left prosecutors politically TARGET political opponents,” he wrote.
In his letter, which can be viewed below, the conservative lawmaker notified Governor Brian Kemp that a special session must be called immediately.
“…in our opinion an emergency exists in the affairs of the state, requiring a special session to be convened… to include, without limitation, the review and response to the actions of Fani Willis,” the letter states.

In addition to posting the letter, Sen. Moore said he will be seeking to strip DA Willis’s office of all funding as the result of her partisan inquiry into the former president. He also asked supporters to sign a petition intended to stop the “weaponization of our justice system at the expense of taxpayers.”

In May, Governor Kemp signed a new law that allows for the impeachment of a state district attorney if they are believed to not be adequately enforcing the law. Originally seen as a thinly-veiled attempt to prevent Democratic prosecutors from failing to prosecute individuals who pursue abortion under the state’s no-exceptions law, the measure may now be considered for the removal of Willis, who has charged President Trump and 18 others under criminal statutes normally reserved for mobsters.
Should Sen. Moore’s effort be successful, the state legislature could recommend that a newly-created Prosecuting Attorneys Statewide Qualifications Commission investigate Willis and determine whether her removal from office is warranted.
President Trump will head to Fulton County soon for an arraignment where he is expected to plead not guilty to all charges. The local sheriff has promised to capture the president’s mugshot, which would be the first in his four criminal indictments to date and would likely become the most famous photograph of the 21st century.

This skank along with the lousy DA in New York City needs to be jailed. They are part of Bidens and the DOJ’s attempt to jail Trump. This is nothing more than a witch hunt orchestrated by the Democrats. Biden and half of Congress need to be in prison and the key is thrown away. It is a shame that the government, especially the DOJ is allowed to pull their treasonous acts. Heads need to roll.
